Office Technician

Location: New Beginnings: St. Anthony Park

Pay: $17-22/hr. DOE

Shift: 1st Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Duties and responsibilities

The following duties are routine for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned.

Greet guests and clients as they enter. Answer phones and assist callers with their requests. Clerical support as needed. Responding to medical records requests and intake paperwork. Complete the intake process and paper flow to Accounting. Oversee the collection of co-pays and deductibles. Paraprofessionals may not admit, transfer, or discharge clients. They may be directed to follow through with the process of implementation of the above by the director or designee. Attend staff in-service and meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience working in an office environment. Experience working with medical records or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Prefer knowledge and understanding the implication of parts 9530.6405 to 9530.6505

(Rule 31), and Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245A (Human Services Licensing Act-HSLA), sections 626.556 (Maltreatment of Minors Act-MOMA), 626.557 (Vulnerable Act-VAA), and 626.5572 (VAA definitions).

Have the ability to work independently. Possess a valid driver license. CPR and first aid certified preferred. The ability to lift and move objects weighing a minimum of 25 pounds.
