POSITION SUMMARY:
The Officer, Concierge is responsible for vetting entry to COD Heart of House at staff entrance, providing efficient service to all visitors, maintaining secure Heart of the House entry protocols. Providing a high level of support and service to all staff, visitors, contractors and customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Staff Entry Duties
1.1 Distributes and collects Visitor ID’s, Contractor and Staff Passes;
1.2 Produces and distributes staff IDs;
1.3 Assists in the management of locker, including assigning and issuance of padlock;
1.4 Receives and provides accountability for lost and found items within the company property;
1.5 Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time as directed by Security Concierge Supervisors, Security Supervisors, Security Duty Managers.
2. Administration
2.1 Maintains concise and accurate reporting/data for all Security Concierge Systems as directed by Security Managers and Security Concierge Supervisors/Security Supervisors.
3. Work with Colleagues and Customers
3.1 Maintains an effective relationship with staff and customers within the work environment by presenting a professional image and dealing with incidents in a discreet and confidential manner appropriate to the situation.
4. Manage Own Performance
4.1 Effectively manages and maintains own quality of work performance conduct completing all tasks as directed;
4.2 Contributes to the effective functioning of the Team and the Department.
5. Work in a Socially Diverse Environment
5.1 Uses cultural awareness and understanding whilst maintaining effective standards of written and verbal communication with staff and customers in the workplace;
5.2 Operates basic security equipment including radios to support and complete these functions.
6. Maintains Safety of Premises and Personnel
6.1 Effectively participates in the management of potential safety hazards including fire alarms, emergency situation, bomb threats and building evacuation.
7. Maintain the Security of Premises, Property and Personnel
7.1 Ensures a safe and secured environment for staff and customers by actively vetting persons entering or leaving site via staff entry;
7.2 Takes appropriate action to prevent loss or illegal access to the property. Respond to all forms of emergencies and alarms as requested/directed.
8. Deal with Conflict Situations
8.1 Maintains and applies skills to deal with conflict situations that occur within the work environment in an appropriate manner and as per company policies.
9. Perform Other Duties as Directed
9.1 Performs all duties as directed by the Director of Security and/or the delegated authority and in accordance with all Policies and Procedures, laws and regulations applicable to the Department and the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Experience
Experience in Customer Service and/or Security Officer duties.
II. Education
Tertiary level preferred.
