Citi Finance is responsible for the firm’s financial management and related controls.  We manage and partner on key Citi initiatives and deliverables, such as our quarterly earnings process and ensuring Citi’s compliance with financial rules and regulations.  The team comprises chief financial officers who partner with each of our businesses and disciplines including controllers, financial planning and analysis, strategy, investor relations, tax and treasury.

The Officer- Data Quality Analyst 2 (C10) is responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of Data Quality processes. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to improvement and performance activities by providing measurement, evaluation, and assessment services relating to Data Quality and data production.

In this role, you’re expected to:

Accountable for monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and/or evaluating processes and data to ensure their effectiveness and identify areas for improvementInterprets data and makes recommendationsIdentifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures, or practicesPresent information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversityReport Data Quality defects through the Data Concern Remediation Management processAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparencyPerform daily trend analysis of Operational Matching exception reportsReview Operational Matching exceptions (SGL orphans) and investigate root cause of new exceptionsIdentify both tactical and strategic remediation to resolve Operational Matching exceptions (SGL orphans)Execute tactical data remediation of data quality issues in Full Suite in adherence to existing governance and controls frameworkIdentify appropriate strategic remediation of data quality issuesPerform end-to-end requirements management and end-to-end testing of Full Suite change requests as it relates to strategic remediation of data quality issuesRaise DCID through DCRM (Data Concern Remediation Management) portal for issues identifiedManage and address data quality queries/issues on Full Suite-Genesis production data through proper acknowledgement and timely feedback to data usersConduct second-level investigation on medium to complex data quality queries/issues on Full Suite-Genesis production data and propose resolution path (both tactical and strategic)Escalate timely to appropriate resolver groups, e.g. technology teams, if data investigation requires expertise outside of the team, and follow through accordingly

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

2+ years relevant work experience in large financial services, consulting, shared services’ operations related or similar industryWorking knowledge of Collibra and other Data Governance industry standard toolsIntermediate proficiency in System Query Language (SQL)Working knowledge of Tableau (report consumer, developer, etc.)Demonstrated understanding of Database structuresWorking knowledge of industry practice and standardsAnalytical skills and attention to detailFlexible, team-oriented, and good interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to communicate effectively

Knowledge of Citi’s financial and risk systems, financial and regulatory reporting processes and organization is preferred

Self-starter, quick learner, customer-focused with ability to independently manage work and drive multiple deliverables concurrently in a fast-paced changing environment

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

High caliber team player with good judgment, flexibility and productivity with good track record in establishing partnership and teamwork

Excellent written and oral communication, influencing and presentation skills – must be able to present and influence across organization level and functions

High proficiency in MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
