POSITION SUMMARY:

The Officer, Hygiene is accountable for daily implementation of food safety and hygiene requirements at cross departments levels through daily monitoring, document review, and verifications, in accordance with HACCP and internal guidelines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists on raw materials monitoring and verification to assure compliance with local regulations and food safety standards.Daily verification of food safety program to ensure effective execution, through observation, document review, verification of procedure compliances.Monitors and assesses cleaning and sanitation of food preparation area and process Assists and coordinates with food sample collection, and audits.Reviews inspections reports and ensures corrective and follow up actions are taken in timely fashion. Executes food safety program, provides ongoing training and evaluation to staff.Coordinates with culinary and service team to implement improvements to daily operation on hygiene matters.Adheres to all Company policies and procedures.Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to supervisors. Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

Minimum of one year’s experience in food safety, micro laboratory, quality assurance or relevant experience in hospitality industry or catering operations

Education

Degree holder in Food Technology, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field is preferred

Skills / Competencies

Ability to coordinate and cooperate with others in a multicultural environmentTeam player who able to work independently with minimum supervisionGood English communication skills Proficient in MS Office Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge and experience with HACCP or ISO 22000 an asset Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis Ability to work on overtime when needed
