What you can expect from this position:

Reporting to the Manager, Security Operational Support, you will be responsible for tracking all incidents reported through CAD and creating graphs that depict any trends in data. You will be required to oversee the concern review process and monitor the progress of long-term action items. 

As Officer, Security Regulation, Policy and Audit, you will:

Inspect the Aerodrome per the Quality Assurance Program (QAP) to ensure compliance with CASRs and ASMs Maintain records of inspections and audited items Report and log irregularities, conduct re-check inspections, and analyze deficiencies for trends Oversee and integrate the Quality Management Program, including threat identification and risk management Monitor government publications related to aviation, public, corporate, and critical infrastructure security Audit Security Company contracts and subordinate plans for compliance Audit access and screening points to ensure compliance with regulations and agreements Review proposed regulation changes and provide feedback on their impact Assist management on internal and external security committees Review new or amended aerodrome security plans for regulatory compliance

This is a unionized position with an hourly wage of $41.72 based on a 37.5 hour work week. If you are the selected candidate, you must be available to commence the duties of the position once a selection decision has been made. As part of the competitive process, you may be required to complete a practical test. 

This is the role for you, if you have:

Post secondary diploma in Aviation Management or a related field, and/or 5 years of comparable airport experience Certified Auditor designation Experience with Toronto Pearson International Airport airside is an asset Auditor Experience is an asset Demonstrated experience working in a customer centric environment Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance

Knowledge and skills you bring, that set-you up for success:

Strong understanding of security regulations and compliance standards including Aeronautics Act, CASRs, ASM, ICAO Annex 17, GTAA security standards and policies and industry security best practices Knowledge of investigative, inspection and audit techniques and practices Knowledge of aerodrome operating procedures and related security requirements Knowledge of the aerodrome and all operating security systems such as access control, vehicle access and GTAA future plans for development and subsequent impact on security operations Skill in studying complex drawings and determining whether there is aerodrome security or operational concerns that need to be addressed Specialized inspections and audit software, etc. General knowledge of Management Systems processes Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders Strong communication and organizational skills Experience in security management or a related field is preferred
