POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Officer, Training & Development, develops, conducts, updates and reviews training & development materials or curriculum. He / She provides subject matter expertise to reinforce the work of the Training & Development. He / She measures the effectiveness of every training intervention utilized by the company and recommend alternative measures, when necessary.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Conducts training needs analysis. 
2.    Designs and updates online courses and course curriculum including its creative aspects.
3.    Maintains the training systems and applications.
4.    Assist in developing program offerings, and updates related training programs to meet agreed training needs. 
5.    Delivers training programs as assigned.
6.    Ensures training is delivered in accordance with Training & Development training strategy.
7.    Evaluates the effectiveness of specific training and development programs in hotel operations -related against learning objectives and to report on that evaluation.
8.    Promotes the consistency and quality of training programs.
9.    Develops and maintains all training documentations in the hotel operations.
10.    Supervises staff under his/her responsibility.
11.    Participates in cross-organizational projects as directed by the Senior Manager, Training and Development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

I.    Experience

1.    At least 3 years of experience in training, specifically in the learning and development department.
2.    Has a good knowledge of the Philippine hospitality industry environment and labor market.

3.    Able to design curriculum and course materials as well as implement organizational development initiatives.
4.    Well-developed presentation skills. 


II.    Education 

1.    Tertiary education in Curriculum Design
2.    Degree in Human Resources/Hospitality/Gaming Management, preferred

1.    Ability to influence others
2.    Identify the core competencies of the workforce and deploy competency mapping particularly in the hotel operations
3.    Understanding of key techniques – TNA, evaluation, transfer of learning (putting learning in to practice in the workplace) 
4.    Innovative, able to develop new concepts and to deliver creative solutions 
5.    Having financial acumen, discerning value and an ability to tackle ROTI (Return of Training Investment) issues 
6.    Effective communication skills; fluent in both written and spoken English and Filipino
7.    Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, especially PowerPoint
8.    Proactive, has drive and commitment 
9.    Effective at managing business partner and stakeholder relationships 
10.    Willing to challenge and push boundaries
