Officer-Chief Financial
Summary Provides innovative leadership to maximize multiple medical group entity contributions to overall corporation performance through effective planning as well as human and financial goals of the corporation. Responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of a large multi-state physician practice, including strategic financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, revenue cycle management, compliance, and overall financial health. Reports directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with the Vice President of Finance and other executive leaders to drive organizational goals. Responsibilities • Coordinates the medical group's formal budget program to ensure a timely and smooth budget process which focuses on the medical group and system mission and goals. + Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the medical group's strategic goals. + Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement. + Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement in revenue cycle efficiency. + Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient billing practices. + Implement and maintain strong internal controls to mitigate financial risks. + Present financial information to the Board of Directors and senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations. • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual analyses and reviews using generally accepted accounting principles to verify that the activities of the accounting department are being recorded correctly and are being communicated with other departments. • Directs overall operational and financial management through assessment of entity's operations and interaction with staff and customers to enhance efficiency and financial performance. • Direct line accountability for entity controllers and finance staff and dotted line accountability for revenue cycle management and procurement staffs assigned to medical group. • Assists in the production of financial statements and reports using the necessary accounting skills and knowledge to produce accurate results. • Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed. Requirements, Preferences and Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting required. 5+ years of experience in healthcare as a Controller, Assistant CFO, or VP of Finance. Large Group Practice experience preferred. 8+ years accounting/finance experience in a medical group or governmental accounting environment. Proficient in the use of personal computers preferred. Certified Public Accountant Certificate is desired.
