Manage and supervise the day-to-day smelting operations in accordance with safety and environmental regulations Ensure optimal utilization of resources and equipment to achieve production targets Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain product integrity Lead and mentor a team of smelting technicians and operators Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address safety hazards Participate in the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives Prepare reports on production, quality, and operational performance Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field Master's degree in relevant field preferred 5 to 7 years of experience in smelting operations, preferably in the copper industry Demonstrated knowledge of smelting processes, equipment, and safety protocols Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
