These employees will travel with equipment to perform maintenance activities, do general labor in the equipment yard, and are long-term positions for someone looking to move into rigging or to operating a crane. General Job Description:
Assist skilled construction workers in performing their assigned duties. Worker may perform a large variety of duties.\n

Functional Requirements:
Employee may perform one or more of the following duties: digs, spreads and levels dirt and gravel; lifts, carries and holds building materials, tools and supplies; cleans tools, equipment, materials and work areas; mixes, spreads or pours concrete, asphalt, gravel or other materials; joins, wraps and seals sections of pipe; performs a variety of non-machine tasks, such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, placing culvert sections in trench, etc.; spends time on one job or may be transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completion.\n

Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and\/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing;
pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching\/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.\n

Mental Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; selecting proper tools; repeating tasks of short duration according to a set procedure; performing a variety of duties which may often change; following oral and\/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.\n
