The Opportunity:
The Senior Human Capital Specialist will support the UK and Ireland with new hire and client background checks. This position will manage and oversee all new hire and client background checks via our third-party background check provider and will be responsible for additional projects as needed.
Each client requires a different type of background check detailed in a client MSA (Master Service Agreement). For client background checks, this position will work closely with OW Legal, the project leads/Partners and Human Capital teams, including Recruiting and Talent Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Consistently deliver a high client service to the business and its employees.Create and manage a process flow, including documentation, on our client audit requirements to ensure compliance.Seek process efficiencies and continuous improvement on our documentation and tracking of background checks, particularly for our client background checks.Build and maintain a trusted working relationship with our third-party background check provider, communicate regularly for status updates, stay informed about their services, and industry best practices.Collaborate with our background check provider to implement any necessary process improvements and updates to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the background check process.Review and validate background check reports, ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.Address any discrepancies or concerns identified during the background check process, seeking clarification and additional information as needed.Liaise with Senior Stakeholders – Partners are regularly the key stakeholders in the client background checks process.Work closely with our UK and Ireland Human Capital Operations team on the different background check processes per territory.New hire background checks
Conduct thorough background checks on all new hires to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.Analyze and evaluate background check results to determine the suitability of candidates for employment.Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost professionalism and discretion.Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to background checks.Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures for conducting background checks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Communicate with the recruitment team regarding the background check process, address any concerns or discrepancies, and provide updates on the status of the background checks.Maintain accurate records and documentation of background check results and related correspondence.Client background checks & audits
Ability to interpret client MSA’s when looking to understand background check requirements.Coordinate with the Legal team on any questions related to the client MSA and review new client MSA’s.Ensure all specific client background checks are initiated promptly per the MSA.Manage multiple client requirements and expectations of the business on when employees can be staffed on the project.Own the background check process documentation, act as the main point of contact for the business.Work closely with Talent Management to ensure we have a complete list of employees who are staffed on relevant client projects.Handle all internal and client audits relating to background checks.For client audits – work closely with Talent Management and Business Impact teams to ensure we are compliant with the required background checks.Attend client audit calls and represent the organization from an HC perspective.Kay Requirements:
