On Board Revenue Manager (Retail Concessions)
Carnival Cruise Line
**Job Description**
We recognise the immense value that individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and experiences bring to our business. While we provide a guide to the role’s requirements, we encourage candidates with varied experiences, especially retail experience, to apply. If you possess relevant skills, we would love to hear from you, even if your experience doesn't precisely match the listed criteria.
We believe in flexibility. You’ll have the opportunity to balance remote working with time at our vibrant Southampton office, where collaboration and engagement make working with us so rewarding. We also welcome conversations about reduced hours or job share arrangements to suit your needs.
**The Role**
As a key player in driving retail revenue, you’ll be responsible for managing and generating sales for retail concession partners across P&O Cruises and Cunard. Your retail experience will be crucial in working collaboratively to increase revenue and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role will require you to engage with key stakeholders across both brands, ensuring the retail concessions align with brand identities and target markets.
You’ll execute the business plan, as defined by the Senior Manager, to ensure growth, and oversee commercial initiatives while reviewing performance results. Your role will require regular consultation with the Senior Manager and Director of Retail Concessions regarding On Board Revenue (OBR) concessions.
**You will:**
+ Support the delivery of strategic goals as set by the Senior Manager, with a focus on retail-driven success
+ Present OBR concession business plans to P&O Cruises and Cunard’s leadership, with a keen understanding of retail operations and guest experience
+ Build strong relationships with senior management across concession partners to ensure P&O Cruises and Cunard’s representation at the highest levels, maximising retail sales
+ Review and monitor performance across both brands, using your retail expertise to address areas of underperformance and drive results
Our role categories span from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), giving you a clear path for development. This position is a CUK07 level, offered as a full-time permanent role, with hybrid working in our Southampton office (up to two days from home).
**About You**
Fresh ideas and diverse perspectives are key to our success, and we’re excited to hear what you can bring.
Along with a passion for retail, you’ll need:
+ Strong retail experience, with a proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and revenue performance within a commercial setting
+ Demonstrated experience in retail strategy delivery, from planning to execution, ensuring operational efficiency and growth
+ Expertise in stakeholder management, especially in the context of retail and commercial partnerships
+ A track record of thriving in a fast-paced retail environment, demonstrating agility and the ability to meet tight deadlines
+ High attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ A solution-focused approach to problem-solving, particularly in retail operations
+ Strong commercial acumen, particularly within the retail sector
