On-Call Direct Support Professional - Blue Mountain residence Overview Requisition Number: 1533 Date Posted: 8/13/2020 Location: Rte 212-Blue Mtn City: Saugerties Category: Direct Support Description The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community. Blue Mountain residence is located on Route 212 in Saugerties, with a beautiful view of the Catskill mountains. The residence is home to six gentleman of varying ages and many different hobbies and interests. Patience, compassion, and a great sense of humor are characteristics we look for in staff as DSPs play a key role in supporting the men in achieving the highest quality of independence within their community. A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification. HOURS: On-call/as needed STARTING SALARY: $ 17.51 to $ 19.27 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable Minimum Requirements + High School Diploma or GED is preferred + Acceptable NYS Driver's License + Computer skills
