What success looks like in this role:
We are actively recruiting an Application Test Engineer to support our prestigious public secured client on-site (minimum of 3 days per week). This role requires the candidate to be eligible for and obtain security clearance, necessitating UK residency for at least three years.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct a wide range of quality-control tests and analyse results to ensure software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements, under moderate supervision.
Create and execute test cases/scripts.
Demonstrate knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and various tools (defect management tools and application lifecycle tools needed for the project).
Log defects with clear details and supporting attachments. Document defects and generate test metrics. Track defects to resolution.
Maintain test cases/scripts and data for assigned scenarios.
Meet design and execution benchmarks.
Participate in peer reviews, test planning, and reporting.
Adhere to testing policies and guidelines, and understand the relevant tools and technologies defined for the project.
Support the implementation of Testing Lifecycle Management best practices and automation.
Primarily interface with the Test Lead for project-specific information and guidance.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Proficient in manual and automation testing, with ideally performance testing, as well.
Ideally, ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation level or similar qualification.
Preferably experienced with ITIL and waterfall/agile methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience, or equivalent work experience required.
