On Site Service Technician - Level II
**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented **On-Site Service Technician** to join our team specializing in **Services, Maintenance and Diagnostics** for our **Orapa Site** in **Orapa, Botswana.** **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways** : + Customer Engagement: By engaging customers courteously and professionally, you'll build strong relationships and ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently. + Efficient Repairs: Using specialized tools and documented procedures, you'll diagnose and complete less complex repairs accurately, minimizing downtime for customers. + Preventative Maintenance: Coaching customer employees on preventative maintenance and basic repairs will enhance their skills and reduce the likelihood of future issues. + Issue Escalation: By escalating unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors, you'll ensure that complex problems are addressed swiftly and effectively. + Documentation: Completing required documentation accurately and timely will support warranty claims, quality control, and business operations. + Continuous Learning: Completing training in line with skill and business requirements will keep you updated on the latest techniques and technologies, enhancing your effectiveness. + Work Area Maintenance: Maintaining cleanliness and proper operation of your work area and tools will ensure a safe and efficient working environment. + Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and reporting any issues will contribute to a safe workplace for everyone. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + Strong Diagnostic Skills: Ability to translate customer complaints into effective troubleshooting plans, using specialized tools and software to isolate and resolve issues accurately. + National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Heavy Plant Mechanic: This is a fundamental requirement. + Basic skills in Microsoft Packages: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. + Experience in Industrial and Mining Equipment Maintenance: This will be a significant advantage. + Knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental International Standards: Familiarity with ISO45001 and ISO14001 is crucial. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education/ Experience** + Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred) + Vocational diploma or National Craft Certificate from relevant technical institution + Locally valid driving permit (Class B License) + Basic level field service work experience + High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional) + Customer service experience **Job** Service **Organization** Cummins Inc. **Role Category** On-site **Job Type** Technician **ReqID** 2408371 **Relocation Package** No
