**A Brief Overview**
The Onboarding Coordinator is accountable for coordinating hiring/on-boarding for Avera LTC facilities and works closely with applicants, Neighborhoods and Avera Sacred Heart Human Resources to ensure a seamless process with employee placement and retention. Supervises Administrative Assistants for the facility. Supports the hospital's goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals. Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship. Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.
**What you will do**
+ Coordinates onboarding of new staff or staff changing positions, testing, nursing, SS, Activities and Administrative positions in LTC.
+ Coordinates with Supervisors to insure timely scheduling and completion of employee orientation. Coordinates with Supervisors orientation expectations.
+ Advises management/Supervisors of employee relations concerns.
+ Refers inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs to appropriate Supervisor.
+ Maintains current knowledge regarding job openings, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
+ Coordinates with Human Resource department, Supervisor and the new hires their start date, appointment time and where to report.
+ Builds connectivity with new hire in their new role to help reduce turnover and improve job satisfaction.
+ Insures timely and continued contact with applicants/Household Leaders/Human Resources through entire hiring and on-boarding process with new employee through the first six months.
+ Participates in job fairs as requested.
+ Maintains appropriate records as required: Open Positions, Position Control for nursing, Attendance Database, Turnover, and other data analysis tied to retention for facility.
**Essential Qualifications**
The individual must be able to work the hours specified. **Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Licensing Board within 1 Year
**Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ Associate's
+ Two years health care setting experience
+ Previous office clerical experience
