Job Description
Insight Global is a seeking an Onboarding Coordinator to support a financial services client in Suffolk, VA. The Onboarding Coordinator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as a central point of contact between HR, the hiring manager, L & D and IT to ensure new hires have a smooth transition into the company.
- Assist in the onboarding of new hires in conjunction with the hiring managers, to ensure new employees are aware of their pre-hire and new hire requirements
- Act as a resource for employees who inquire about open positions, HR processes related to internal hires, employee referrals, or other HR processes related to hiring.
- Participate in and contribute to the development of the enhanced onboarding and engagement initiatives underway to improve overall retention and satisfaction of new hires and employees
- Initiates background checks
- Reviews credit reports and facilitates explanations from applicants for any potential credit issues
- Reviews criminal background checks and facilitates explanations from applicants for any convictions
- Obtains accurate I-9s and identification documents within required timeframes
- Ensures all new hires identification documents are checked in a timely manner for legal compliance
- Books hotel accommodations for new hires coming into town for New Hire Orientation and other company events
- Ensures hotel invoices are paid in a timely fashion
- Order new employee gift boxes for all Bank hires
- Handles all filing of new hire documents in Document Manager and SharePoint
- Provides support to Talent Acquisition employees including but not limited to candidate sourcing, career fair attendance and post-event communications
- Provides coverage as needed to the front desk receptionist
- Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Handle other miscellaneous departmental tasks and projects if/as needed
Compensation:
$25/hr to $27/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Experience using MS Office Suite in a professional work environment
- Intermediate level Excel skills
- Must possess the highest quality of integrity, discretion, strong work ethic and the ability to maintain extreme confidentiality
- Ability to enter data in an accurate and timely manner
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of employees, applicants, etc.
- Excellent reasoning skills and the ability to make good and timely judgment
- Well organized with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills and telephone presence
- Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment when dealing with confidential information
- - Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility as demands and priorities change
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and guidelines effectively
- Ability to flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where multiple projects and competing demands are the norm
- Excellent ability to quickly learn systems, emerging technology, and offer strong analysis and recommendations - Administrative experience in a Human Resources and/or recruiting environment
- Prior experience with HRIS or ATS (desired UltiPro)
- Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience or certification null
