Make a Difference
The Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the onboarding process for physicians and advanced practice providers i.e. Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Certified Nurse Midwives, Certified Nurse Specialists, and genetic counselors. This position manages the administrative aspects of physician and advanced practice provider HR onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition. The Onboarding Specialist also serves as the primary liaison between medical staff office and payer credentialing teams throughout the privileging and credentialing process. This position is responsible for, but not limited to:

Collaborate internally and cross-functionally with other teams to positively impact the customer and employee experience. Assist with reviewing and monitoring the transition timeline while tracking the provider(s) status to ensure transition steps are completed and appropriately communicated to operational and executive leaders. Facilitate the HR onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation and requirements are completed. Provide a positive and welcoming experience for new physicians and advanced practice providers. Participate in bi-weekly new physician and advanced practice provider onboarding review meetings. Review contracts and track follow-up activities. Attend and participate in provider orientation sessions.  Support the ServiceNow physician and advanced practice provider onboarding site. Oversee the HR onboarding process for new Community Health Network physician residents and fellows. Participate in team meetings and group initiatives.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of professionals, including executive leadership, and build constructive and effective relationships.

Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, human resources, or a related field. Alternatively, a combination of education and 5 years of relevant experience will be considered. 1-2 years of experience in human resources is preferred. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Exceptional problem-solving abilities to effectively tackle and resolve challenges. Ability to prioritize tasks and determine necessary resources. Excellent customer service skills. Strong work ethic and proactive attitude. Proficiency in technology and skilled in using Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Working Knowledge of ServiceNow is a plus. High level of energy, proactive effort, and commitment to meeting departmental needs.
