Job Description
The Training and Onboarding Coordinator supports Human Technologies’ mission of Creating Employment for People with Disabilities by assisting with HR related functions focused on onboarding and creating employee engagement and coordinating various training activities.
Requirements Predominant Onboarding Tasks:
Coordinating HT’s onboarding program designed to welcome new employees into the organization by performing the following tasks according to HT processes:
+ Communicate with newly hired employees to welcome them to HT, advise them of what they need in order to begin working, and schedule their new hire orientation.
+ Schedule and coordinate with members of HT who will be participating in the orientation process (e.g. Director of Corporate Safety, Quality and Systems Manager, etc.) Communicate orientation dates to all appropriate parties using calendar functions. Book location, making sure to set up online functionality (such as Zoom) whenever needed.
+ Prepare all associated new hire paperwork and requirements in advance of new hire orientation for newly hired employees, including but not limited to: offer letter, background checks if needed including motor vehicle checks, wage notice, workplace rule, handbook and policy packets.
+ Oversee new hire orientation when it occurs, making sure to guide newly hired employees through all appropriate pieces of the process, as assigned by the Manager of Human Resources.
+ Process all of the new hire paperwork, initiate the I-9 process/E-Verify, oversee badge inventory and the creation of identification badges for all new employees.
+ Send and track new hire orientation evaluations and report results monthly to the Manager of Human Resources, who will share with the Vice President of Human Resources.
+ Conduct regularly scheduled 30, 60, and 90-day check-ins on newly hired employees, document each interaction, and track. Report any areas of concern to the Manager of Human Resources.
+ Process other employee transactions, in addition to hiring-related transactions, including but not limited to rate changes, supervisor changes, position changes, terminations, disciplinary notices, and verifications of employment.
+ Manage ancillary HR programs such as the applicant referral bonus program, the Sunshine Fund, and the coordination of labor poster compliance (ordering and disseminating posters as required by law).
Predominant Training Tasks:
Coordinate Human Resources-related and other training for employees of HT.
+ Work with Manager of Human Resources and Vice President of Human Resources on a monthly topical training calendar for HT employees.
+ Under the direction of the Manager of Human Resources, conduct needs assessments to understand and be informed of areas of need when it comes to workplace training.
+ Coordinate training sessions by scheduling, sending invitations to appropriate audience and tracking invitation responses, securing locations and technology, distributing post-session evaluation forms, and tracking results to share with the Manager of Human Resources and Vice President of Human Resources.
+ On occasion and as appropriate, also serve as a program trainer.
Additional Tasks:
+ Serve and participate on internal corporate committees and external committees as appropriate.
+ Maintain knowledge of current trends and best practices in the field of onboarding, training, and human resources.
+ Comply with safety policies and procedures for safety of self and others.
+ Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Manager of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
+ A minimum of an Associate’s degree.
+ Three (3) years’ experience in a related human resources field will be considered in lieu of education.
+ A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to the
+ Excellent verbal and written communications
+ Must be able to accommodate a flexible work
+ Excellence in multiple computer programs such as word processing, spreadsheets and
+ Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation and have and maintain a driving record in accordance with Human Technologies’ Liability/Automotive Insurance carrier.
+ Must pass any required federal, state, municipality, and/or customer-specific background
