Join our passionate team and contribute to advancing patient access to innovative therapies in this exciting and high-impact role. *Posting expires on February 18, 2025 at 23:59 EST ** Candidates can be located in BC or Alberta Key Responsibilities • Cultivating and fostering relationships with provincial Cancer Agencies and key decision-makers and external experts within the oncology payer ecosystem • Leading the creation and execution of comprehensive regional strategies to influence the payer environment and communicate the value of our brands to payers, in collaboration with Government Affairs team. • Gathering regional payer insight and providing recommendations to enhance market access, HTA and payer negotiation strategies • Maintain a deep understanding of regional oncology health policy and access environments, including their dynamics, and proactively sharing and acting on the implications of any trends or changes. • Actively seeking payer insights through robust external relationships to understand value drivers, the payer decision-making process, and the perceived value of product profiles, as well as to test value messaging in oncology • Working closely with Market Access Managers and Leads to develop clear value messages for our oncology brands aimed at payers, creating customized to support external engagements and to ensure regional reimbursement needs are incorporated into brand planning • Collaborating closely with other members of the GCA field team (policy, patient, public and private payers) and other field-based Commercial and Medical Affairs team members to gather insights, align strategies, and drive the implementation of regional payer strategies • Upholding the highest levels of governance and compliance with GSK policies and procedures, as well as all applicable healthcare laws and regulations Basic Requirements • Minimum Bachelors degree in life sciences, epidemiology, public health, Pharmacy, Nursing or equivalent. • 7+ years experience in pharma (Market Access, Pricing, Sales, Brand Marketing, etc.) AND • 5+ years of market access field-based experience or equivalent role • Oncology experience required • Thorough understanding of the oncology public reimbursement ecosystem and Canadian healthcare system, including key trends, issues, opportunities, and stakeholder/payer priorities. • Demonstrated ability to strategically build and maintain critical external relationships within the payer ecosystem. • Skilled in effectively communicating clinical evidence and health economic data to payers and external experts. • Proven experience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams and partners, both internally and externally. • Strong collaboration and negotiation skills, working effectively as part of a team to drive enterprise objectives • Strategic thinker capable of formulating, developing, and executing complex strategies while balancing short- and long-term goals. • Ability to translate business strategy into external engagement strategies to drive patient access. • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build trust and achieve results through others, set ambitious objectives, and handle difficult conversations constructively. • Proactive, resilient, trustworthy, intentional, and willing to challenge the status quo. • Solution-oriented with the ability to offer creative problem-solving options. • Valid Driver’s License* • Ability to travel within territory and domestically as required Preferred Requirements • PharmD or advanced degree in nursing, health sciences, public health, epidemiology or equivalent. *This position requires the employee to drive routinely on Company business and allows for the provision of a company – leased vehicle. However, to be eligible for this position and a company vehicle, GSK will need to obtain acceptable results from a license verification inquiry and drivers abstract review against its safe driver program requirement.
