The I&C Field Specialist is responsible for technical direction and safe site leadership of onsite installation, operational maintenance, testing and startup activities on Gas turbine, Steam Turbine, Compressors and Generators electrical & instrumentation systems in accordance with engineering best practice and contractual work scope requirements. This person will work onsite at a client in the New Orleans region.
As a Field Specialist E&I you will be responsible for:
Providing general technical direction and assistance to customers in the operation, maintenance, repair, safe handling and installation of BKR products. Providing technical assistance through on-site guidance and training in operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. Troubleshooting of protection relays and maintenance on the gas insulated switchgearAssisting customers in scheduling maintenance and workload assuring that equipment and parts requirements meet established schedules. Understanding and maintaining the electrical distribution network including the EMS system from GE Leading and execute loop check and commissioning phase performing the functional tests. Leading and execute unit start-up and performance tests ensuring proper and safe operation of the machine by evaluating the running parameters and troubleshoot control system problem as they arise.Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a degree from accredited university or college degree and 4+ years of experience in field service or maintenance position. Ability to understand and implement technical drawings (wiring diagram, P&ID, General Arrangement, etc.) Strong knowledge in rotating equipment control philosophy (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Centrifugal and Reciprocating Compressors) and their auxiliaries. Strong knowledge in field devices, instruments and actuators. Strong knowledge in unit control panel (UCP), motor control center (MCC), direct current panel (DCP) and firefighting system installation and commissioning. Have experience with Medium voltage motors, VFD and transformers MV and HVBe Legally able to work in the United States without SponsorshipWork in a way that works for you
