Part-time onsite maintenance technician position for a 5-story mid-rise condominium located in the heart of Atlantic Station in Midtown Atlanta, GA.

\n

\n

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the skilled maintenance and repairs involving general carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, and electrical repairs, to guarantee that the community is properly and safely maintained as directed by the Board and the Community Manager

\n

\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

\n\nPerform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.\nPerform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the buildings are properly maintained.\nClean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, and drains.\nPerform vendor management and/or basic project management.\nOperate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.\nOther duties as assigned.\nCompensation: $25 - $30 per hour based on experience.\nWork Schedule: 4 hours per day, Monday thru Friday.\n\n Requirements

\n\nValid, unexpired driver’s license with clear driving record.\nStrong customer service skills.\nExcellent communication skills, spoken and written.\nAbility to interpret and complete verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and attention to detail.\nKnowledge of chillers / boilers desirable.\nKnowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)\nKnowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements.\nKnowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.\nKnowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.\nAbility to safely operate, climb and perform work on ladders (1-2 stories).\nAbility to operate smartphone & email (day-to-day operations, basic communication/monthly reporting)\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis.\nMust be able to sit, stand, bend, pull/push, grasp, twist, reach above shoulder, walk, stoop, kneel and climb.\nMust be able to use hands and fingers to input data to information system; and talk or hear to gather and provide information on departmental processes.\n\n

Education and Experience

\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED Required\n3 -- 5 years in general maintenance or building trades (preferred)\n\n

\n

Working Conditions:

\n\nTypical work environment year-round indoors and outdoors (frequent standing, walking, lifting and/or operating powered equipment using proper safety techniques or tools), possible exposure to elements like rain, heat or cold.\n
