The Operational Excellence (OPEX) / Continuous Improvement Site Leader will be responsible for executing OPW's Continuous Improvement initiatives by facilitating process improvement activities for our RegO facilities.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Responsibilities: 

Work with employees at all levels of the organization to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities that are linked to business goal results. Demonstrate results through performance measurement and analysis. Understand the business Operational Excellence initiative for OPW at the pillars of S&OP, Order management, New product introduction, Manufacturing, and material/information flow to drive for the processes transformations at all levels that achieve safety, quality, delivery and productivity performances. Understand and support the processes of PFEP, cycle count, Material replenishment flow, and the master planning management, including forecast, demand/supply planning.    Understand the digital factory for manufacturing, data acquisition and machine connectivity for the readily data analysis to achieve the utilization improvement. Train/Coach/Mentor employees at all levels of the organization on the tools and methods that support a continuous improvement culture. Coordinate the development of an organization-wide training plan and execute as planned. The continuous improvement process tools will include:  Tiered accountability and daily management  A3 problem solving,  5S and visual management  Brainstorming and problem-solving  Kaizen events  Process and Value Stream Mapping (Design), SIPOC  PDCA / DMAIC TPM / OEE Standard Work Assist in creating platforms to share best practices across operating companies globally Report out on CI initiatives and activities monthly Develop and execute the Kaizen projects at the timeline, the budget, the scope, and the key countermeasures including the training plans and transitioning to end-user departments.

 Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business Related field with a minimum of 5+ years in a role with ownership of Continuous Improvement programs and processes. Project management experience is a plus. Experience in operations/manufacturing is required, and CNC processes experience is a plus.  Experience in high mix, low volume manufacturing environments is a plus. Hands-on experience with implementing projects Strong communicative skills and leadership ability to manage multi-functional teams at the organization. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Project required, and MS Power BI a plus. Ability to travel to other RegO locations as needed.
