OpCo Customer Service & Logistics Manager

Position Vacant:                        Logistics & Customer Service Manager
Function:                                   Logistics Department
Location:                                   Port Moresby 
 

 

 

We have an immediate requirement for Logistics and Customer Service Manager, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. 


Main Duties will include: 
•    To manage the logistics operation to ensure correct distribution of full goods at lowest possible cost with least wastage and optimum stock levels.
•    To ensure that adequate contract transportation is available by identifying and appointing transporters through approved contracts at lowest practical cost. 
•    To implement measures of performance (KPI's) and to report on these with reliable data, adjusting the logistics operation to ensure that agreed KPI's are met. 
•    To organize, locate, assign, train, coach and develop staff to ensure high performance in logistics. 
•    To supervise and control the direct delivery to ensure an effective performance of SPB distribution channel against the set target and cost controlling of transport. 
•    To structure, supervise and control the internal transportation of Depot and warehouse to ensure the effective performance of these operations.
•    To gather and input logistics data required for the application of the Planning System "Future Master": consult, control and analyse the parameter settings to help planning to run effectively.
•    To make proposal to the Supply Chain Manager in developing logistics, especially regarding rationalisation of delivery routes, location of Customers and network structures for distribution.
•    Ensure safety standards maintained in all warehouses, report correctly on accidents in logistics and take appropriate preventive measures.
•    Implement TPM in all areas of Logistics by completing deployments and launching teams to reduce losses.
•    Manage the RPM portfolio to ensure the required Return Packaging Materials are made available to the productions at lowest possible cost with least wastage and optimum stock levels.

Qualification & Experience: 
•    Degree in Business/Economics or other relevant degree.
•    Past on the job experience in similar roles. Minimum 8 years logistics experience in multi-national company.
•    Experience in Inventory Management and related course.
•    Experience in Shipping and Transport Sectors
•    Solid Management & Planning skills.
•    Customer Service experience.
•    Strong Team abilities.
•    Warehouse management
