The School of Health Professions at UT Health San Antonio is seeking to fill one faculty position immediately to support a Master’s degree program in Speech-Language Pathology with a medical concentration. This position is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment at assistant-, associate-, or full-professor rank starting as early as January 2023. The faculty member will report to the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders Chair.    

Responsibilities include teaching graduate-level courses in the expertise area, directing student research, establishing or continuing a program of extramurally funded clinical research, and providing services to the department, college, and community. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in speech-language pathology, hold ASHA CCC-SLP, be eligible for speech-language pathology licensure in Texas, and have a record of research and scholarship.  

Preference will be given to individuals with one or more specialties, including but not limited to developmental language disorders, AAC, fluency disorders, resonance disorders (e.g., craniofacial anomalies), head and neck cancer, voice disorders, dementia; an established record of peer-reviewed publications and research grant funding; and, prior experience in teaching at the graduate level. 

Applications must include a curriculum vitae, a letter of interest with stated qualifications, a summary of research accomplishments and future goals, a teaching portfolio, and a list of three references. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
