The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences in the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine  has an exciting opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Psychiatrist to join a growing academic program focused on serious mental illness.  Applicants must have completed a M.D. degree and be licensed in the State of Texas. The selected candidate will provide outpatient services at the Transitional Care Clinic of the Department which serves people with serious mental illness as well be involved in our telepsychiatry programs.  The faculty member will supervise psychiatry residents and medical students as they provide clinical care as well as being involved in the educational programs of the Department.

The department has strong educational, research and clinical programs in an attractive, culturally rich city situated on the edge of the Texas Hill Country, with a pleasant climate, an excellent public school system and abundant recreational activities.
