Open Source Intelligence Analyst

Overview:

IntelliBridge is an award-winning national security company looking for an Open Source Intelligence Analyst to support a federal law enforcement client’s Open Source Intelligence Program focused on detecting threats to specific people, locations, and events. In this role, you will leverage Boolean logic, automated search tools, and advanced research skills to uncover, analyze, and share vital information from social media, news sites, forums, and other open sources. Your analyses and intelligence products will directly support security and law enforcement operations, both domestically and internationally, informing strategic decisions and ensuring the safety of personnel and facilities.

Responsibilities/Duties:   

Open Source Monitoring: Conduct complex open source operations focused on threats, political violence, crime, terrorism, and other critical security priorities. Utilize advanced techniques and numerous datasets to identify potential threats.Long-Term Analysis and Production: Conduct in-depth, long-term analyses of trends, patterns, and emerging threats. Produce comprehensive intelligence products that inform operational strategic decisions and policymaking.Trend Analysis: Conduct extensive research to identify and analyze long-term trends in political violence, terrorism, crime, and other security threats. Use historical data, current intelligence, and predictive models to forecast potential future developments.Strategic Reporting: Produce high-quality, strategic intelligence reports that provide actionable insights. These reports will inform policy decisions, operational planning, and resource allocation.Comprehensive Intelligence Products: Create detailed intelligence assessments, white papers, and briefing materials. Ensure these products are accurate, relevant, and tailored to the needs of various stakeholders, including policymakers, law enforcement, and international partners.Evaluation and Feedback: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of intelligence products and methodologies. Implement feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve analytical processes and outputs.Data Analysis and Reporting: Review incoming information, assess accuracy and credibility, and prepare detailed analytical reports. Training and Development: Assist in developing training modules for Program staff and overseas monitoring elements. Stay updated with new datasets, tools, and techniques through internal and external training.Briefings and Presentations: Prepare and present written and oral briefings to special agents, Program management, Bureau and Department leadership, and intelligence partners.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience or 8+ years of relevant experience without a degree. Strong knowledge of internet-based research, including Boolean logic.Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to write clearly and concisely, both short and long-form. Ability to clearly summarize information in writing.Demonstrated ability to learn new software. Highly collaborative, with ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels.Ability to meet established customer requirements, including publishing deadlines. Customer service mindset, with a strong desire to improve products to meet customer needs.  

Preferred Qualifications: 

Knowledge of production of intelligence assessments in accordance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) requirements.Knowledge of popular and fringe social media platformsCompleted formal Open Source Intelligence or advanced internet research training course
