Job description

Infosys is seeking a skilled OpenShift Administrator to join our IT Team. Candidate will be a key player: responsible for OpenShift Container Platform Administration activities.

Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At Least 7 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Implement OpenShift on bare metal servers/ virtual machines , on-premise, including compute, network, load balancer, storage as per application requirements.
• Conduct OpenShift Container Platform administration activities (Installation, Patching, application on-boarding, SSL certificates deployment, identity providers integration, users RBAC, Migration, 3rd Party tools integration with OpenShift cluster)
• Design all elements of OpenShift project as per application requirements and deploying and troubleshooting containerized application on OpenShift clusters using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Primary Skills required: Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift, KVM
• Secondary Skills required: CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, VMWare
• Working knowledge of:
• Integrating any one of the Container native storage solutions to Kubernetes container Platform (Example: RedHat Gluster FS, Portworx, Ceph)
• Managing private docker/image repositories (Quay, Nexus, JFrog, etc...)
• Prometheus, Grafana monitoring tools and developing custom Grafana dashboards and developing Prometheus queries to analyze data
• OpenShift logging solutions and related Administration (Ex: EFK stack, Splunk )
• Familiar with integrating security solutions to OpenShift Container platform
• Git Repo: raising and approving pull requests
• Agile methodology/culture, Kanban way of working
• Troubleshooting and providing speedy solution in case of failure of the database.
• Availability to work in 24X7 shifts and owning engineering activities related to OpenShift Container Platform and its eco system

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
