OpenStack Administrator
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OpenStack System Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of OpenStack architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and manage OpenStack cloud environments.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure health and performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches on OpenStack components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and network-related issues within the OpenStack environment.
• Automate cloud operations using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ansible.
• Manage storage, networking, and compute resources within OpenStack.
• Ensure security compliance and implement best practices for cloud environments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize cloud-based applications.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and guidelines.
Required Skills:
• Overall 6+ years of experience and 4+ years of hands-on experience managing OpenStack cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of OpenStack services such as Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Glance, and Horizon.
• Exposure to Vmware to openstack migration
• Proficiency in Linux system administration ( CentOS, OEL or RHEL).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, QEMU, libvirt, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, SDN, routing, firewalls).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
• OpenStack certification (COA - Certified OpenStack Administrator) is a plus.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and integration with public cloud providers.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
