There are multiple vacancies. The starting rate of pay is $21.05 per hour with an additional $1 Longevity Pay, $2 Shift Differential and $3 Weekend Pay for hours worked only. Rate of pay may be adjusted dependent upon experience and qualifications of the applicant. Must be available for scheduled shift work after regular working hours and during holidays. Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: + Performs preventive maintenance tasks on building mechanical equipment and components + Performs preventive maintenance tasks on pumps, motors, control systems, piping and other equipment + Operates, monitors and controls system wide output + Operates building mechanical systems including firing up steam boilers, starting and stopping chillers, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, refrigeration and HVAC equipment + Perform minor projects as assigned on the entire campus that may include pipefitting, mechanical equipment, electrical circuits and painting + Takes immediate action to personally stop unsafe acts if delay to inform supervisor may allow accident to occur + Assist other trades with preventive maintenance tasks You must include all relevant work experience and education on your application. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: May serve as a lead-worker over subordinate Operating Engineers or provide direct-line supervision over one Operating Engineer. LOCATION OF WORK: All state agencies.
