Summary

 

Position Highlights:

The Operating Room Attendant is responsible for disinfecting areas to reduce the spread of bacteria and infection as well as providing an environment that appears clean, fresh, and polished. This position performs a variety of duties that support the department in maintaining a clean environment for patients and staff. Support services in the delivery of care to operative patients, including transportation, inventory, and restocking.

 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED

Responsibilities:

High-touch surface disinfection and cleaning/OR Room Turnover Follow departmental and other regulatory standards regarding all cleaning policies and procedures Maintain inventory of department supplies including restocking Operating Room Facilitate flow of patients and visitors to and from perioperative areas

 

Credentials and Qualifications:

Six (6) months experience in the following: healthcare, Environmental Services, customer service or hospitality. Additional six (6) months in healthcare/hospitality/customer service may be considered in lieu of HS/GED Completion of a healthcare environmental services training from MacDonald Training Center may also be considered in lieu of both six (6) months of experience and HS diploma/GED High school diploma/GED
