Our Ambulatory Surgery and Procedure Center has 10 operating rooms and 6 procedure rooms and last year we cared for almost 13,000 patients.

Regardless of role, we recognize that every member of our team is vital! The Registered Nurse, Ambulatory Care Operating Room is a professional caregiver! Our Operating Room nurses assume responsibility and accountability through the nursing process for the surgical care of the operating room patient and significant others in collaboration with other health care providers.

What you will do as a Registered Nurse, Ambulatory Care Operating Room:Develop and initiate care plan using an outcome based approach ensuring application of age related growth and development principlesCoordinate, oversee, deliver, document, and delegate nursing care based on patient assessment/standards of care on an ongoing basisDirect, evaluate, and supervise the work of assistive personnel in providing delegated nursing servicesCollaborates with operating team, patients and family members to determine vital resources and provide continuity of patient careCommunicate pertinent patient data to other members of the health care team in a timely fashionProvides patient/employee education based on assessment of learning needs of learner

What you will need:Current Licensure as an RN in state of MNBachelor's in NursingBLS certification2 years of operating room experience with knowledge of AORN standardsAbility to work effectively across departmentsInterpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with team members and customers and to coach, mentor and educate staff
