The surgical technologist scrubs a wide variety of different procedures related to robotic procedures and has knowledge and skill to adapt to changes in the patient’s condition. Minimum Requirements + High school Diploma or GED. + If certification is required for specialty area, must maintain active status to remain in position, or possesses demonstrated knowledge and experience in specialty surgery procedures; i.e. robotics, joint replacement, etc. + Current BLS and must remain current to retain position, Ability to stand for the majority of the work time; sometimes wearing a 10 lb. x-ray apron for several hours at a time; lifting 50lbs. pushing/pulling 125lbs.,frequent lifting 1-25 lb. sterile trays during the course of the day. + Good communication and written skills. + Ability to handle stressful situations and changing conditions; flexibility to adapt to scheduling changes and changes in patient condition.
