Job Summary:
Responsible for improved operational excellence including Safety, Quality, On-time Delivery, inventory, cost improvement, localization initiatives, cost productivity, continuous improvement and finally shipment targets. The incumbent will be responsible for the following functional teams of Manufacturing, Tool Design, Application engineering & its feasibility, logistics & out-sourcing including procurement. The role is to lead Emerson's Branson business in Talegaon.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Provide leadership and coaching to all operation associate to ensure understanding and attainment of performance objectives. Lead, analyze, design, and improve processes by enlisting and influencing teams focused on improving quality, reducing waste, inventory, and lead times to achieve Operational Excellence.Overall responsible for Operations POR & budgets including operational KRA of ITO, RDSL, DPO etc. Overall manage configuration engineering, production, EHS, quality, cost and order fulfilment, continuously improve and optimize on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Close coordinated effort to establish and streamline processes from sales kick off meeting for the application feasibility stage to design finalization upto manufacturing of the tools to ensure that orders with trials are accomplished with customer delight and on-time delivery input is provided to Logistics team.
Establish and streamline S&OP calls, production, and planning calls within the team periodically. Vendor development for SPM will be another important task with changing market trend where majority of orders are with SPM (special purpose machines).
Localization shall be another priority for identified machines depending on the market volumes. Drive regionalization and localization activities to ensure resilient, flexible, and cost-efficient supply chain is established with best-in-class lead times.
Drive digitalization and sustainability initiatives to enhance productivity while reducing the carbon footprint of our facilities.
Work with other WA factories to ensure cross-functional communication and collaboration in capturing business opportunities and meeting commitments.
Support functions that can deliver products and services to customers in an efficient and cost-effective manner including application feasibility study which requires a good co-ordinated effort between Sales/Clients/Application team.
Foster a continuous improvement culture assuring ownership at all levels of the organization. Train and mentor operation talent on continuous improvement tools and techniques to build local capability and ensure sustainability. Overall responsibility for logistics function and dispatch planning activities. Weekly and monthly planning calls to meet the POR for the month.
Lead a highly technical team of applications, design and Tool manufacturing for high performance culture and foster a collaborative environment.
Lead the timely hiring, training the entire operation team and maintain a high level of positive working culture and maintain a good sales-client rapport. Direct and manage operation talent – assessing current team members, identifying needs, selecting talent, and developing current employees to ensure “bench strength” and continued development and advancement of top talent within the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Business or any related field. 15+ years of Industrial automation experience Minimum 7+ years of proven experience and knowledge in operations/ project management / supply chain/ manufacturing Good managerial skill in leading, organizing, planning, and encouraging others. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong character and conviction to lead and represent the operations team among the top-level staff in India, Asia and other World area Proficiency in English as will be working with partners in India, Asia & global Open to travel 30%, within India Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: MBA will be an advantageOur Offer To You:
