Operation Maintenance Scheduler

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for an Operation Maintenance Scheduler to support our government customer located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

 

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Obtains and organizes all information required for the work being performed. (i.e. drawings, vendor manuals, supplemental materials, special procedures, diagrams, etc.) Balances scheduled work orders with labor availability and skills; Maintains and monitors backlog for adherence to industry standards; Maintains and monitors a weekly schedule for all crafts. Prepares requisitions in the Government System or other work order system to ensure materials, parts, labor and other charges are allocated to the appropriate work order. Verifies all material, information, tools and labor are available prior to scheduling. Works with warehouse staff to control spare part usage to maximize inventory control through regular turnover, without using critical spares for routine maintenance, and reducing maintenance costs. Coordinates maintenance needs with operational functions to minimize downtime. Estimates and defines requirements for total labor, materials, special tools, equipment, and skill sets, for all work including complex projects such as building shutdown, building improvement projects, etc. Implements and maintains a maintenance strategy plan for assigned work locations. Prepares and presents comprehensive reports with recommendations or needed changes. Establishes and maintains advanced work planning for capital improvement and job order contract projects. Participates in redundancy and contingency planning for emergency situations. Uses critical path methods and other planning methods to coordinate and optimizes workflow. Record keeping: Maintaining records and reports. Shall ensure proper security clearances are obtained for all contractor personnel as required. Shall coordinate the efforts of all contractor personnel to meet assigned goals. Shall be responsible for adjusting operations and personnel to meet assigned goals. Shall maintain records for accountability and to an audit standard. Shall support excellence in customer service and deliver excellent customer service both to internal and external customer while having the ability to work collaboratively to build professional working relationships with colleagues, coworkers, and customers. Shall identify safety concerns to Supervisor and other required stakeholders. (DOD, ARMY, OSHA, ANSI, other industry identified) Shall assist in maintaining accurate files and provide documentation to Government Lead when requested. Shall provide and assist with required monthly data to Supervisor for a monthly report/tracking matrix of all related matters. Shall make sure that all administrative functions/paperwork is in order relative to receipt documentation, work orders, or internal paperwork are accomplished on time and in the required format. Shall be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe worksite while performing or conducting job duties and be attentive to detail. Shall support the mission, vision, values, and goals of the US ARMY.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION and REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of (4) Years of Experience Developing and Scheduling Work, and Associates of Arts Degree in Facility Management or Construction Management, or related field, (active) CLASS C Driver’s License, and Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Applications – specifically MS Excel

or

Minimum of (6) Years of Experience Developing and Scheduling Work, and High School Diploma/GED, and (active) CLASS C Driver’s License, and Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Applications – specifically MS Excel

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primarily Mobile; The work environment occurs primarily in office interiors and building settings. Will need to walk exterior /interior building sites and evaluate projects.

Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to pass a NAC background check
