This position is in a fast paced and challenging Ecommerce environment. Ideal candidates will work with minimal direct supervision and will concurrently handle and prioritize many responsibilities within our small package order fulfillment shipping area. This position reports directly to the site Sr. Operations Manager.
Key Primary responsibilities are:
Manages standard operating procedures and directs an aggressive operating plan.Operating in a goal driven environment that identifies and directs lean concepts and cost savings opportunities.Has interactions with support team's, fulfillment leadership and works to maintain operational metrics.Challenge is to motivate and lead program operational needs while maintaining efficiencies and improving Serviceability.Oversees the daily organizational activities and facilitates the business unit’s workflow.Use data to facilitate predictability of the daily volumes and to manage daily headcount.Manages and directs the daily activities of the small pack order fulfillment operations.Determines workflow and scheduling and enforces operational policies and procedures.Relies on experience and sound data to make business decisions that supports the organizational goals.Makes recommendations to improve the productivity, quality, and efficient delivery of products and services within the production space.Responsible for planning and directing operational goals, staffing and business objectives.Required qualifications: Proven track record in operations management (6 years experience)Education: BS or BA degree or equivalent experience in Logistic Operations. Electronics manufacturing or Distribution background required. Preferred qualifications: Intermediate knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (SFDC, SAP, Oracle, etc…) Metrics measurements (i.e. delivery, costs, quality audits, exceeding all internal KPI metrics) Continuous Improvement Quality process (i.e. Lean Mfg, Six Sigma, ISO, internal initiatives) Safety Program compliance (OSHA, DOT, and state and local agencies) Proven competencies in (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, MS Office) EMS experience preferred.Analytical skills to evaluate, report, select and implement cost-effective, distribution operations.
