We also have developed a range of by-products for specialized applications across industry, construction and agriculture, which utilize Harsco’s expertise in mineral materials. **Job Purpose:** Directs and supervises operation and subcontractor workforce in operation of all activities for equipment used in production or for rental on plant site locations. Ensures that daily production quantities are met. direct supervision of multiple employees in a large, multi-faceted environment, which includes all operation activities. Includes decision-making in evaluating performance. Ensures that daily production volumes are met. Exercises independent discretion and judgment in the execution of business strategies by providing leadership & direction to the team. Trains, coaches, and develops associates on efficient work methods to increase departmental productivity. Monitors all results for the department and determines changes that are needed in procedures or conditions that could affect operating costs. **Responsible for:** + The Operation Superintendent has full responsibility for the Operation department. + Audits and trains operation crews in the usage of "Best Practices" to accomplish operations targets. + Ensure the highest standards of safety in operation activities and workplaces. + Interprets company policies for workers and enforces safety regulations. + Implements and coordinates safety objectives + Assist in reviewing and updating assigned departmental Safe Job Instructions. + Follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations. + Understand and manage all procedures and practices to ensure that all tasks are performed safely. + Ensure that all equipment is operational and maintained. + Input and analyze reporting data, initiate action plans, and conduct follow-up audits to ensure actions are carried + out for continuous improvement. + Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. + Continual review of processes and procedures for proactive modifications and improvements. + Maintains all daily operations of the plant site. + Manage all field operations, site employees, and daily details of the Clean Earth Beneficial Use facility. + Monitor and maintain general site field operations. + Attends required operations meetings. + Lead the monitoring and tracking of daily operation requirements as per client expectations. + Lead day-to-day oversight of mechanics, equipment operators, and laborers. + Work independently safely and efficiently and follow all Safety policies and procedures as per HARSCO standards. + Ensure Health and Safety practices are followed and provide ongoing education and accountability to the staff to ensure safe operations as per HARSCO standards. + Achieve performance goals and deadlines. + Ensure and report to finance of operation expense + Ensure to meet the financial plan and capture all saving + Monitor and report daily site progress. + Keep tracking of slag LF & EAF handling to maintain the area with minimum storage of slag. + Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly + Resolve on-site issues and emergencies 24/7. + Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management. **Education** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / any equivalent **Experience** + Minimum 5 years experience in the same discipline + Competent knowledge. + Excellent in written and spoken English. + Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work additional hours + Ability to perform maintenance plans + Detailed understanding of auditing on health and safety systems. **Interpersonal Skills** + Ability to develop and manage effective internal and external relationships. + Ability to share knowledge and circulate good practice + Must be a team player and be able to actively participate in team operations and programs. + Influencing character. + Ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. + Proactive. + Ability to initiate and manage change. + A skilled communicator at all levels. + Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision. + Diplomatic. + Ability to prioritize own work and the work of the team, meeting deadlines. + Attention to detail. + Teamwork Ability. **Technical Skills** + Competent presentation skills including use of Company preferred IT programs including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
