Operation Support Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Support Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of activities in support of functional areas such as recruiting, deployments, human resources and/or operations for a specific business, contract, or department. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Process LOAs, passports, arming packets and visas Manage SPOT & CAAMS activities for assigned contracts Understand the most current USCENTCOM medical requirements and review personnel medical files for accuracy and completeness Maintain database of qualified personnel for delivery, updates contact information and availability Identify qualified and available personnel, and rapidly delivers them to contract locations to meet task order requirements Schedule training and travel for qualified, vetted candidates Advise management of significant trends, identifies and recommends courses of action based on available information Consistently demonstrate the highest standard of professionalism and integrity in situations involving minimal guidance and supervision Establish, develop, oversee and/or maintain electronic files Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, handling inquiries, addressing concerns, and relaying important information Ensure to follow division’s Standard Operating Procedures Coordinate travel, equipment procurement for students in training and operational personnel Recommend and implements office procedures. Identify problems, suggest solutions and respond to change with a high degree of attention to detail and foresight Act as the cross functional liaison with Operations, Training, Recruitment, and Human Resources on delivery requirements and timelines Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience Preferred two (2) years of experience in operations support, logistical support, or a similar role in government contracting Proficiency with Microsoft Office Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to work as a team and individually as necessary May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
