Operational Buyer

To strengthen our Supply Chain Management team, we are looking for experienced candidates for the position of Buying Specialist for our Global Supply Chain Team. Seize this unique opportunity to take an active part in shaping our new GBS center and grow together with the rapidly developing organization.
 

Responsibilities: 

Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets Process Purchase Requisitions, Request for Quotation, and create Purchase Orders  Manage the procure to pay process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and ensuring payment Proactively monitor confirmations of Purchase Orders from the suppliers Proactively manage on time deliveries (and associated risks) in due coordination with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, projects) Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations Resolve issues related to Purchase Orders and Invoices in due coordination with Accounts Payable Closely collaborate with your internal customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders Manage the creation of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List in due coordination with commercial pillar to ensure compliance with sourcing strategies Execute implementation of our supply chain strategies Maintain due trackability and documentation of purchases according to Group policies Actively contribute to process & systems improvements identification and implementation Drive cost savings and reductions  Report your achievements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Support our further development by identification and implementation of improvements Support and promote a culture where a high quality of work is the norm


Requirements: 

BA in Supply Chain, Business or similar minimum 3 years of experience in corporate environment, ideally in operational areas (supply chain, nuclear or highly technical areas)  Knowledge of Procurement/ Supply Chain Management processes and function Fluency (written and spoken) in both English  Very good communication and collaboration skills, teamwork, solution orientation Strong analytical skills with an eye for details Ability to multitask, work under pressure and proactively identify and solve issues Experience in setting priorities, informing on risks and when appropriate making decisions Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills Customer focus with proactive attitude Negotiation skills will be an asset Proficient use of SAP, Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint is desirable
