We're looking for an Operational Excellence Intern to analyze, compile & distribute operational metric reports, as well as drive business process improvement efforts. This is a key hands-on role, requiring the ability to think strategically and act tactically as part of the ongoing growth and enhancement of our company. This role is responsible for maintaining, auditing and delivering weekly and monthly operational reports, as well as responding to ad-hoc reporting requests received throughout the company. In addition to these responsibilities, this role will support the implementation of other business transformation & process improvement initiatives. As the Operational Excellence Intern, you will be accountable for independently managing and tracking key deliverables and communicating progress to the leadership team. This role requires strong data analytics skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of process improvement & reporting principles.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Compile and distribute weekly and monthly operational reporting accurately and in a timely manner
+ Conduct on-demand data analysis using available resources to generate insights and support data driven decision-making
+ Partner and coordinate with cross functional teams related to new process initiatives
+ Complete tasks assigned by leadership in an efficient and timely manner
**Qualifications:**
+ Required: Current undergraduate (Junior+) or graduate student majoring in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field who can commit to a minimum of one year
+ Min of 1 prior internship
+ Willing to commit 15-20 hours weekly; with at least 12 hours in-office during Fall & Spring Semesters
+ Willing to work full time (minimum 30 hours per week) during semester breaks, including summer
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; with experience in VBA is preferred
+ Understanding of ERP applications is desired but not required
+ Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to partner and collaborate with various teams and leadership levels as well as able to proactively and efficiently work independently
+ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products and collaboration tools
+ Strong administrative skills
+ Able to complete tasks assigned by leaders in an efficient and timely manner
