Job DescriptionAbout the role:AGILE 4.0 is the transformational engine to improve GMS/GQ to become a more patient-focused, lean, and efficient organization. It is how we will bring our strategy, develop our talent, and focus our efforts. The AGILE Manager role is full-time dedicated to AGILE as a part of the Business Excellence team. It is designed to attract individuals who have demonstrated change and continuous improvements efforts. Upon two to three years of successful term in this role, AGILE Managers will be recognized as candidates for future opportunities to further progress their careers in the organization. The AGILE Manager (OE focus) will lead and Manager AGILE Operational Excellence (OE) deployment for an important area such as Fractionation, Purification or Engineering Maintenance. This involves collaboratively planning, building skills, and driving deployment of elements of the AGILE Operating System (AOS) that help the area achieve its goals. You will report to the Associate Director of Operational Excellence.
How you will contribute:Represents AGILE in manufacturing as the contact for improving operations and mindset.Use AGILE methods and tools to lead the site strategy to achieve its transformational (breakthrough) goals faster.Identify opportunities aligned with strategy, making these visible, building the business case/burning platform to create momentum, leading and coaching teams and ensuring outcomes are achieved and visible.Connect and collaborate with global, regional and OpU groups to bring Good Practices to the site and to share our Good Practices with others.Develop from learning AGILE methods and tools, through leading implementations to become a coach (build capabilities in others) in one or more elements of AGILE OEBecome 'approved' by Global OE to deliver workshops and lead implementationsBecome a role model in AGILE mindset, Manager change and demonstrate main skills, in root-cause problem solving, 5S, Standard Work, Visual systems (including Tier mechanisms) and Leader GEMBAMay be assigned work in other AGILE streams such as Digital, or People, Culture & ChangeHave a demonstrated experience challenging the status quo and trying to improve the operation.Open to doing things differently and have experience taking concepts and implementing locally.Experience with process mapping software, Minitab.Experience in FDA regulated environment, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001Must have organizational and project management abilities along with knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement approaches.Can train others and work with employees on all levels.Conduct and Lead Problem Solving strategies and workshops.What you bring to Takeda:Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.Minimum of 10 years of related experience in Manufacturing, Lean and Six Sigma.Background in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean would be necessary; Six Sigma green belt or black training / certification.2+ years of experience desirable in the biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry.Soft skills: Communication, Leadership, Teamwork, and People ManagementLean: Ability to run workshops, Gemba walks and Tools implementations.Six Sigma: Ability to conduct and lead Rapid DMAIC workshops, Teach and Coach the tools.Important ConsiderationsAt Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. May wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily. $108,500.00 - $170,500.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
