Summary
The Operational Excellence Project Manager will report to the Operational Excellence Leader and will engage staff and managers in improving clinical, support functions and administrative process through projects across the organization. The Operational Excellence Project Manager is a professional responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific projects for an organization, ensuring they are on time, on budget, and within scope. They also have the responsibility for coaching, mentoring and training all levels of the organization on the principles of process improvement and management philosophies.
Duties
Assists with Performance Improvement initiatives. Meets with Department leaders to drive Performance Improvement projects to completion. Mastery of desktop applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel Mastery of Lean Six Sigma principles to a green belt level. Maintains project Matrix. Mentors all levels of the organization on Lean Six Sigma principles. Provides support for large organizational Performance Excellence initiatives. Builds reports from various reporting applications. Analyzes data through statistical analysis and builds data visualizations.
Project Managers oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure. Key responsibilities include:
· Project Planning: Defining project scope, objectives, goals, tasks, resources, timelines, and deliverables. This forms the blueprint for the project's execution.
· Team Leadership and Coordination: Assembling and leading project teams, assigning tasks based on individual strengths, fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts, and motivating team members to achieve objectives.
· Risk Management: Identifying potential risks, analyzing their impact, and developing strategies to mitigate them proactively to minimize disruptions.
· Budget Oversight: Estimating costs, establishing and tracking budgets, and making adjustments to ensure the project stays within financial constraints.
· Time Management: Setting realistic deadlines, monitoring progress, and taking corrective measures to keep the project on schedule.
· Stakeholder Communication: Maintaining open and transparent communication with clients and stakeholders, providing updates, responding to inquiries, and adapting to feedback to meet or exceed expectations.
· Quality Assurance: Implementing quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet established standards and client requirements.
· Problem Solving: Addressing issues and unforeseen challenges decisively, using critical thinking to analyze problems and devise effective solutions.
· Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of all project elements, processes, and performance.
· Performance Evaluation: After project completion, evaluating efficiency and effectiveness to identify shortcomings and inform future projects.
Education: Masters Preferred, Bachelors Required
