Vantive is looking for an Operational ExcellenceShipping Specialist to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate the activities of shipping team to assist in preparing ordersStage finished orders for shipping and load trucksLead shipping teams to accomplish safely on-time, complete, correct assignmentsPerform other duties as assigned by managementAdhere to company policies and procedures. Report any employee or process concerns to ManagementFollow, identifie and encourage all safety practices reporting any concerns to a Safety Team member or member of ManagementEnsure the quality of finished goods in the shipping processRealise loading techniques for shipping in various shipping containersAdhere to GDP guidelines for shipment of finished goods and ensure all employees are trained to complete tasks as per GDP requirementsMaintain inventory of all shipping materials; cycle counting of inventory, completing annual cycle countsPrepare commercial invoices and S.E.D's as required for international shipmentsGuide, support, and ensure effective training of team membersShipping customer orders domestically and internationally using specified carriers and freight forwardersFollow up as required with shipping companies to coordinate pick ups and deliveries to our distribution centresMaintain a positive and collaborative work environment (in the department and across other functions)Requirements for this role:
History of success in a position of accountability is preferred2+ years of shipping experienceExperience with inventory, cycle counts or audit is a plusProven ability to perform assigned tasks in a timely mannerExperience and ability to operate a forkliftWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookReasonable Accommodations
