Role and responsibilitiesDeliver load level-, wave planning- & planning support to optimize the efficiency in the logistical process by monitoring and balancing the workload within the warehouse & logistics department.
As a Wave planner, you play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our highly complex logistics and warehouse processes, directly impacting our ability to meet production demands efficiently and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Operational activities
Monitor the influx of outbound deliveries for the 5L Warehouse, where logistics processes are centralized to facilitate an efficient supply to manufacturingIdentify and analyze work load peaksAd-hoc steering on workload peaks- advising on warehouse capacity re-schedulingAdjust the timing of deliveries in such a way that the work load is leveled on an hourly baseAdjust delivery timing based on priorityMonitor if deliveries are created according to the ‘delivery creation rules’Contact the internal customer (Production Planning, Cleanroom Logistics, Material Handling) and/or the 3PL in case alignment is needed for load levelingMonitor and steer the ‘stock to factory’ process by managing the EWM WavesProcess delivery- and/or delivery line cancellation requests and prio changesMonitor and follow-up on exception codes and alerts generated by EWMProvides first line operational support on planning processes, executing resolution of operational issues, in order to minimize impact on the operationYou are steering daily/weekly meetings to facilitate effective communication with stakeholdersWeekly report performance and volume measurements and communicate with stake holdersThe wave planner reports to the Planning Group Lead within LO Control Tower and works closely with other Control Tower departments, Warehouse, Production Planning, 3PL, Manufacturing Services Engineering
Continuous Improvement activities
Identify improvement opportunities in the value chainAnalyzing trends, define and improve planning related processesParticipate and/or drive continuous improvement projectsInteract with stakeholdersEducation and experienceRelevant Bachelor or Master degree (e.g. Operations Management & Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management).
3-5 years of experience within Logistics / Supply Chain ManagementHands-on experience in a technical production/warehouse environmentPreferably experience with trouble-shooting: problem solving methodologiesSAP knowledgeExcellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPointSkillsWorking at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that. In this role, you need to work in shifts which is as mentioned below:
Mon to Fri from 06:30 until 15:30 and from 15:00 until 00:00.
In this schedule you always have 1 fixed day off per week.
You work one weekend per month from 07:00 until 16:00.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
