SUMMARY OF THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled and dynamic professional to join our team as a an Operational Purchaser. This role is essential in managing and optimizing all procurement activities to support business and project needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that goods and services are sourced, negotiated, and purchased in alignment with quality, cost, and time requirements, while adhering to procurement standards. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Responsibilities: Lead centralized procurement processes, including negotiating with external parties for the acquisition of capital and operating materials and services for assigned regions or projects. Gather, interpret, and analyze external and internal information and developments, providing strategic recommendations to management. Monitor market trends to understand their impact on pricing and availability, translating these insights into actionable procurement strategies. Develop and present solution-oriented recommendations and procurement advice, either proactively or in response to requests. Prepare and deliver periodic reports on procurement performance across the region, including country-specific and project-specific metrics. Build and sustain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to enhance collaboration and procurement efficiency. Oversee, coordinate, and improve administrative processes and systems in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. Creating purchase orders for various services and goods Train and educate Mammoet employees on how to create purchase requisitions following global standards WHAT YOU’LL NEED Education College/ University degree in the respective field SMT diploma or SCMP designation considered an asset Experience 5 years of relevant experience SAP experience is considered an asset Microsoft Office experience Key Characteristics Relating and Networking Persuading and Influencing Analyzing Planning and Organizing Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking WHAT YOU’LL GET About our Company Mammoet helps clients improve construction efficiency and optimize the uptime of plants and installations.
