Where You Will Work    

Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support our operations in finance, human resources, health and safety, information technology, planning and more. This position requires work to be performed in-person at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix. The Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration.

Description

Operational Readiness relates to the preparatory aspects of project delivery, ensuring the successful transition of an asset from the design/construction stage into an operating business unit.  
The Operational Readiness Operations & Maintenance Manager is responsible for developing the operational aspects of the initial project specific plan, schedule, budget, Operational Readiness guidance and progress tracking program for the portfolio of international and domestic capital projects in the $100M to $5B range. At later stages of each project cycle, they are responsible for the successful preparation of every corporate capital project’s operating transition by leading the global team of designated Project Readiness Managers (PRMs will likely be the most senior role associated with the new asset) with development, accountability, guidance, and direction. They deliver the effective development and management of the business aspects of Operational Readiness - including operating and maintenance procedures, production forecasts, maintenance plans, spare parts, operating budgets, technical support processes, etc.

Develop the feasibility level detailed operational aspects of the Operational Readiness Plans for each project in the portfolio of international and domestic capital projects in the $100M to $5B range, including expansions, new brownfield facilities and greenfield operations.  These plans include project specific scope, schedules, budgets (AFE development), project specific guidance outlines and progress tracking programs based on PFD, P&ID, Control Narrative, and other project design documents.  Provide design feedback as appropriate to support the project’s ultimate safe, productive, and sustainable operation.      Recruit, develop and train, manage and lead the global collection of PRMs and their relevant teams to refine and deliver the Operational Readiness Plans as each project develops, including sequencing coordination with design, construction, commissioning, and site operations. Engage and connect subject matter experts from site and functional groups around the company to the PRMs to ensure alignment to best practices and established company standards.Collaborate with Project and Site leadership to ensure clear and accurate Operational Readiness progress communication - intervening with scope, cost and schedule solutions as required to deliver Operational Readiness objectives.Stay updated with industry best practices, established company standards and regulatory changes related to Operational Readiness.  Maintain, continually improve, and enforce alignment to a shared and documented Operational Readiness program.Perform other duties as requested.Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline or related scientific field and eight (8) years related experience and familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, operations, maintenance and construction, OR High School Diploma and thirteen (13) years related experience and familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, operations, maintenance, and construction

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant site operations and/or maintenance leadership experienceOperational Readiness project experienceAbility to speak technical Spanish and/or Bahasa Indonesia in addition to English

 

Criteria/Conditions:

Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator.  Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting. Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

What We Offer You 

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $107,000-$149,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance.  Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration.  Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.  More details will be shared during the hiring process. Click here to view a sample of Total Rewards Estimate for this role.
