Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Operational Staff Accountant to join our finance team. An integral member of our accounting department, this role will be responsible for handling many day-to-day and month-end closing activities within the finance department and be responsible for overseeing the Travel and Expenses (T&E) reimbursement process  within the SAP Concur system. The ideal candidate should be analytical and process-driven and be motivated to learn and grow within a fast-paced organization while being able to independently think and problem solve.

 

Key Responsibilities

Reconciling cash, fixed assets, accruals and other accounts as assignedPerform month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and maintaining supporting schedulesSupport account inquiries and fluctuation analysis for month-end accounting reviewsAssist with audits, including compiling requested information and preparation of various analysisMaintain documentation and processes supporting existing internal controlsProvide technical and procedural support to Concur business users for company-wide T&E reportingAssist users and managers with questions in regard to Concur T&E report entries, exceptions, corporate card use and maintenance, policy compliance and other general questions as the “go to” personManage and perform audits on submitted T&E reports for policy compliance and/or fraud with escalation to management as neededProvide new hire and refresher training on the Concur system and T&E Policy as well as joint training with Compliance or other departments as neededMaintain training materials and T&E documentation to ensure the content is up to date with company policies and procedures on the Company’s intranetManage corporate credit card program and reconcile corporate credit card transactionsCollaborate with internal Compliance team to ensure accurate data captureGenerate monthly expense dashboards, ad-hoc expense analysis and compliance reporting based on business requestsBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal cross-functional business partners, T&E users and external vendors through exceptional customer service to ensure a seamless workflow, exceptional customer service and accurate financial reportingSupport ad hoc analysis and special projects on an as needed basisContinuously evaluate and recommend improvements on all processes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field. CPA or MBA is a plusExcellent attention to detail, well-organized, and highly accountableSelf-motivated, action oriented with the perseverance Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsComfortable in a fast-paced environment with limited guidanceSkilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasksStrong Excel skills requiredAbility to multi-task on varying projects and initiativesAbility to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding employee information Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels of the organizationStrong customer service and relationship building skillsAbility to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, “can-do” team environment Working experience with the SAP Concur system (administration, design/configuration, and support) is a plusExperience with administrating corporate credit card program is a plus
