Your Role:
The newly established Operational Technology Manager role is responsible for shaping and successfully implementing the digital transformation of the area. As an OT Manager, you will be responsible for the successful introduction and implementation of OT projects in the production and laboratory environment. The Cherokee site in St. Louis is MilliporeSigma’s center of excellence for contract development and manufacturing of Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs), a rapidly advancing class of treatment for cancer.
In your role, you will lead the planning and implementation of OT projects (e.g., MES/EBR systems, LIMS) and direct corresponding project teams and experts to ensure successful execution. In this context, your team will create and approve project plans and coordinate execution with the involved stakeholders. You will conduct scheduling, cost, quality, and personnel capacity planning for project realization as well as for deployment planning and deadline tracking. Project management tasks include assigning and monitoring tasks, solving arising problems, and taking corrective actions. You will utilize insights from project phases to drive process improvements. For project execution, you will apply classical and agile project and development methods. Your responsibilities also include evaluating, preparing, and presenting results and creating decision templates for management. After project completion, you will be responsible for a smooth handover of OT systems to the relevant interfaces.
Additionally, you will manage Data Integrity and Compliance:
Champion Data Integrity: Develop and implement strategies to ensure data integrity across IT and OT systems.Define and enforce robust access controls for data entry, modification, and deletion.Implement electronic signatures and audit trails to track changes and ensure accountability.Validate data migration processes to prevent data corruption during system upgrades.Collaborate with IT and OT teams to establish secure data transfer protocols.Conduct risk assessments specific to data integrity and develop mitigation plans.
Who You are
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field, e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Life SciencesFurther training as a project manager, comprehensive knowledge in project management & process design, and in project-relevant financial and controlling processesExperience in implementing OT solutionsPreferred Qualifications:
Strong communication skills for collaboration with various stakeholdersAnalytical skills for problem-solving and decision-makingAssertiveness, independent working style, commitment, and flexibilityHigh affinity for IT/OT topics and digital technologies, as well as the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems and issuesCross-module SAP knowledge in the production and laboratory environmentUnderstanding of pharmaceutical processes and regulatory requirements and working knowledge of cGMP practicesAbility to work through and manage ambiguity to drive decisions in complex and dynamic situations· Proficiency in using scheduling software and ERP systems.
