Operations Analyst
Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Operations Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Business Manager, this position provides operational analysis related to cost, financial performance, and operational efficiency of the PNW business. This position will be the central point of contact for reporting operational key performance indicators (KPIs).  This role is based in our Redmond, WA, office.

What You Will Get to Do:Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support management in making informed decisions.Assist in performing month end activities in line with corporate accounting deadlines, including monthly reconciliation of raw materials inventory, and adjusting journal entries.Support the business working closely with the Area Manager and Operations on the development of business improvement opportunities and capital projects.Assist in Fixed Assets Workflow initiation and closing of AFEs.Review of Accounts Payable reconciliations.Assist management in operational reporting including dashboards to track KPIs for operations, sales/marketing, and management.Following up on Balance Sheet reconciling items.Assist in various ad hoc projects including capital expenditure decisions and Post Investment Reviews (PIR’s) analysis.Review and follow up on Cash Sales AR listing.Tracking Leases and short-term rentals.Reviewing Fuel Reconciliations.
Essential Experience and Skills: High School Diploma or GED Certificate is required.A post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.Proven track record with at least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, and/or business environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and effectively.Proficiency in working with large datasets, including data extraction, cleaning, and manipulation.Accounting experience or willingness to learn in the areas of month-end reporting, income statement comprehension and journal entry preparation.Ability to analyze data and processes to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.Intermediate to Advance level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Exposure to financial accounting software (i.e., JDE, SAP).Ability to adapt to changing business environments and new technologies.Willingness to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
 Work is primarily conducted in an office setting.Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and computer systems; visual acuity required to read, verify, and enter various data from documents related to the work.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.Full-time physical presence in the office, Monday through Friday.
