Reporting to the Manager, Billing Operations, this position is accountable for providing end-to-end system and data expertise within the Information Technology (IT) organization, including providing billing investigation and exception management in support of the ATCO energy organization. As part of the Operations and Systems Support team, you have an interest in developing an in-depth understanding of the systems and associated integrations. In addition to your system expertise, you have a proactive mindset with a curious nature to investigate and resolve customer impacting billing issues. As a team member, you thrive in a high performing and collaborative environment that delivers exceptional support to our Customer Care Center and their interactions with customers. As an Operations Analyst, you provide accurate and timely invoice validation and payment verification. What Else You Get To Do
Learn, as directed, specific vendor operating, configuring & custom scripting documentation. Act as a system support resource for new products, services enhancements, system enhancements and technology projects. Ensure all system changes adhere to software development lifecycle principles including SIT, UAT, and elevation to production. Participate in and assist with facilitating planning sessions with project teams to ensure the delivery of features and functionality according to business and technical specifications. Respond to various enquiries from internal team members regarding billing procedures and internal control policies pertaining to ATCOenergy billing. Provide functional support to stakeholders as a billing subject matter expert. Responsible for investigating and resolving customer billing issues and escalations. Provide technical advice to the Customer Care Center Work with SQL queries to gather necessary information and resolve billing issues to ensure customer needs are met. Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve tasks, work queues and reports associated with billing lifecycle management. Conduct internal business analysis as required in support of achieving business unit results.Who You Are:
Degree or Diploma in Information Technology (IT), a related field from a recognized educational institution or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of Salesforce, Visual Studio, databases, Microsoft (MS) Excel & cloud-based applications is an asset. Familiarity with the Salesforce suite of products and other Software as a Service application. Experience with MS Office and more specifically MS Excel for analytical purposes. Ability to consolidate and manipulate large volumes of data, identify trends and make recommendations to improve the customer experience. Experience with SQL queries and understanding database structure is considered an asset. Ability to develop professional relationships across the organization and establish yourself as a billing subject matter expert. Experience in utility billing – specifically the Alberta energy market would be considered an asset.What We Offer:
