Responsibilities
Lead the manufacturing team at the Linden site to produce, package and ship Turbo Oil products to meet business objectives (HSES, volume, quality and cost) Manage all maintenance activities by working with local and contract resources to maintain and repair equipment Ensure manufacturing operations are safe for employees, site contractors, guests, communities and the environment in accordance with applicable regulations Support the development of a highly capable, well-trained workforce via coaching and mentoring of employees. Optimize the overall team performance by establishing excellent relationships within and between departments. Manage unionized personnel per the contract while working with local union leadership as needed Work with a cross-functional team (supply chain, quality control, engineering, and technology) to ensure production objectives are defined, understood and achieved Work with engineering and technical teams to identify and drive continuous improvements in HSES, production rates, quality and/or costs Support the delivery of all products shipped to our customers. Work with shipping and logistics personnel to ensure shipments meet customer expectations and investigate any related issues Ensure compliance with the site Quality Management Systems and participate on the site quality team Ensure the Eastman essential operating disciplines (EODs) are followed with focus on safe and efficient manufacturing operations Ensure costs are tracked and monitored and process transactions are conducted in an ethical and timely manner consistent with Eastman and regulatory requirements Oversee maintenance activities by directing both internal and external resources to respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, maintain asset integrity, ensure critical spares are identified and inventoried, and long-term plans are in place for asset upgrades and replacements Troubleshoot and investigate to determine root causes and implement improvements relative to safety, operation and quality issues Ensure departments operate safely and in an environmentally responsible manner including a high standard for housekeeping and an organized work environment Use SAP for material ordering, production scheduling, wage time entry, bulk transportation planning and cost monitoring
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) is preferred; significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree Knowledge of chemical processing and packaging equipment (vessels, pumps, conveyors, fillers, palletizers, automation, etc.) Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Maintenance knowledge and experience highly desired Ability to communicate openly and effectively with people at all levels, including excellent written and written communication skills Ability to make quick and effective decisions Excellent technical skills including analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Demonstrated leadership and results-orientated focus on achieving cost, production and other strategic targets for the business Multiple years of management experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred SAP experience
